Thrasher's Call

We set the forward-looking feast with all the light of home we’re able; communion grace from our High Priest.

We prepare for Him a table with the presence of our friends: bonds of love His grace enables.

Though tonight will reach its end, we hope to cast a homeward ray of warming, welcome; Christ’s portend.

We hope to drive the night away of isolation’s icy chill; we ask the Son to glimpse His day.

And yes, we crave and hunger still, as our plates yield meat and bread and yeast, for years’ fruition, when, with sehnsucht filled

we’ll join the long awaited feast, and communing at His table, we will dine together, with our High Priest,

and find His home-light warm and pure, His welcome more than able.
