The Day Of The Lord
You’d hasten Jesus Christ’s return but I have this secret kept: you don’t need schemes or bombs that burn, just use your eyes, you too can learn: He never really left.
I saw Him just the other day, just standing by the street. He held a sign that seemed to say that things hadn’t quite gone His way, and He needed food to eat.
We saw Him at our church last week down working with the kids. He noticed tears on our kid’s cheek, and showed her care so calm and meek, no matter what she did.
He even made the headline news! They’d sent Him overseas to lock Him up; he’d been accused of inky skin; y’know, tattoos like those people, not these.
So yeah, I guess you haven’t heard? He stuck around, to save as many sheep as He could herd with goodness, mercy and gentle Word – or is that not the part you crave?
